You can find information about the test and how to answer questions below.
Click on a link or scroll down to find the information you need.
When you are finished, click on the [?] Button again to return to the testing screen.

Moving Around and Tracking Progress
  • Click on the NEXT arrow to go to the next question or unit.
  • Click on the BACK arrow to return to a previous question.
  • The arrow will be grey when you are not able to go back.
  • Each square in the progress bar represents one unit. A unit is a set of questions based on the same material.
  • After you complete a unit, the square will be dark green.
  • A white square will show the unit you are currently working on.
  • You will have 60 minutes to work on each section of the test.
  • The circle will fill with dark green as the time progresses to show you how much time you have left to work on a section.

How to Answer
Click on a choice: These questions have only one answer.
  • Click on your choice. The circle will be filled.
  • To change your answer, click on a different choice.
Click on one or more boxes: These questions may have more than one answer.
  • Click on one or more boxes. A checkmark will appear in each selected box.
  • To change your answer, click again on any box you have selected. The checkmark will erase.
Click on a graph or picture:
  • Click on a graph or picture and it will highlight.
  • To change your answer, click again on the graph or picture. The highlight will erase.

  • Click inside the box and type your answer.
  • Use the Backspace key to erase

 Use the number keys to type your answer:
You CANNOT use the letter keys on the keyboard for this type of question. You can type using the number keys and any of these five keys:
  • Comma [ , ]
  • Period [ . ]
  • Slash for fractions [ / ]
  • Dash for negative numbers [ - ]
  • SPACE key
Use a drop-down menu:
  • Click and hold the mouse button down over the arrow.
  • Continue to hold the mouse button down and scroll to select a choice.
  • Release the mouse button. The choice you selected will display at the top of the menu.
  • To change your answer, repeat the steps above to select a different choice.
Use drag and drop:
  • Click and hold the mouse button down over the item you want to drag.
  • Holding the mouse button down, drag the item to a location.
  • Release the mouse button. The item will snap to the selected location.
  • To change your answer, drag the item back to its original location.

Moving between pages: Some units will include reading material shown on more than one page.
  • Click on the page number to move between pages.
  • For each question, Page 1 is always displayed first.
  • You can go back and forth between pages at any point in the unit.
